Police investigate Doncaster car theft

Police are investigating following a theft of a Mercedes-Benz from a Doncaster shopping centre earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told the victim, a 28-year-old Ivanhoe man, parked his car in the valet parking at the shopping centre just before 5pm on Friday 17 February.

Just after 5.30pm an unknown man approached the valet counter and demanded the keys to the silver 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 sedan.

The man drove off in the car without making any attempt to pay.

Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be of Southern European appearance, aged 20 to 30-years-old, with a solid/muscular build, short hair, and a short beard from ear to ear.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
