Police and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal collision in Rowville.
Investigators believe a vehicle travelling on Stud Road collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Lakeside Boulevard about 12pm.
One person has died at the scene and another person is being treated by paramedics.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
Traffic on Stud Road is being diverted from Fulham Road and Ferntree Gully Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
