Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal car crash in Gellibrand near Colac this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a Nissan 4WD was travelling along Frys Road near Colac Lavers-Hill Road just after 2.30pm.
It is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled a number of times.
A 16-year-old girl from Barwon Heads who was a passenger, died at the scene.
The driver and other female passenger received minor injuries.
The driver, a 20-year-old Clifton Springs man is currently in custody.
