Police Investigate Fatal Crash at Mothar Mountain

A woman has died following a traffic crash at Mothar Mountain near Gympie this morning, 28 April.

Initial enquiries indicate shortly after 7am, a blue Honda Jazz rolled on Okeefe Road and hit a woman who was walking her dog on the road.

Members of the public provided CPR but the woman was declared deceased at the scene.

Her dog also suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local vet for treatment.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 23-year-old Southside woman, suffered minor injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
