Police Investigate Fatal Hebersham Car Crash

A man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's west.

About 12.25am today (Sunday 20 July 2025), emergency services were called to Carlisle Avenue, Hebersham, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and found a vehicle had crashed into a tree.

Two men – a driver and a passenger both aged in their 30s – were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The passenger died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with the assistance of officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
