Police investigate Hampton Park burglary

Police are appealing for public assistance following a burglary at a cake shop in Hampton Park last week, Victoria Police say.

It is believed two men forced entry to the Hallam Road shop about 5am last Thursday 24 August.

Once inside, the burglars stole food items from the cool room before fleeing the store.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released images and CCTV of two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first man was wearing a black hooded jacket, black ‘Champion’ track pants, black sneakers and red gloves.

The second man was wearing a black hooded jumper with a logo from ‘The Barber Shop & Co’, khaki pants and blue Nike sneakers.

Police are investigating if the offenders were seen in a dark Toyota Corolla around the time of the offence.

Detectives are investigating if the burglary is linked to another burglary earlier that morning.

Police have been told a hairdressing salon was burgled in Mount Eliza about 2am.

The offenders smashed the front door and gained entry to the Mount Eliza Way premises before stealing clothing with ‘The Barber Shop & Co’ logos, cash, computers and hair care items.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
