Police are investigating following a house fire in Heidelberg Heights this morning, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to the Bamfield Road brick residence just before 5.30am where they found the rear of the residence alight.
A 7-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl are believed to have been inside the single storey house when the blaze started.
Police are currently treating the fire, which caused moderate damage, as suspicious.
An MFB fire investigator is currently at the scene.
