Police investigate hit-run at Cheltenham

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a hit-run collision that has left a car driver with multiple injuries in Cheltenham earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

The collision occurred between a black Toyota Landcruiser and a White Hyundai I20 on Centre Dandenong Road between Jarrahdale Street and Herald Street about 7.10am.

It is believed the black Toyota Landcruiser, which had a registration number ending in the numbers "24", did not stop, and fled the scene.

The vehicle was last seen continuing east on Centre Dandenong Road before turning left into Warrigal Road.

The White Hyundai has ended up on the nature strip on its side.

The 73-year-old male driver from Cheltenham was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators believe the vehicle will have damage to its front passenger side quarter panel and head light.

Anyone with information or anyone with dash cam footage is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
