Police investigate hit-run crash in Thomastown

Police and emergency services responded to reports of a hit-run crash in Thomastown this morning (30 April).

Investigators have been told a white Nissan Utility was travelling east on Main Street about 12.15am.

It is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an electricity pole outside a community centre.

The driver fled on foot and was last seen running west on Main Street.

Main Street is closed until further notice between Lantana Avenue and Hazel Avenue while repairs are done to the power pole.
