Police investigate home invasion in Bidwill

Police are investigating a home invasion in Sydney's west last night.

About 11:15 pm (Sunday 14 January 2019), emergency services were called to Wiggles Way, Bidwill after reports of a home invasion.

Police have been told that three men, wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, have forcibly entered the house armed with axe, a bat and a knife.

A 52-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son were home at the time.

The men threatened the woman and the boy, stole a number of personal items and fled.

They were last seen on foot on Wiggles Way.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police from Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and patrolled the area.
