Police investigate house fire at Gunnedah

An investigation is underway following a house fire in the state's Northern Tablelands over the weekend.

About 5pm on Sunday (19 July 2020), emergency services were called to a house on Herbert Street, Gunnedah, following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze that had completely destroyed the home.

The house was not occupied at the time and no-one was injured.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information to contact police.
