Police investigate house fire - Hunters Hill

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Hunters Hill last night.

Emergency services were called to a home on Futuna Street, Hunters Hill about 7.30pm (Wednesday 4 September 2019) following reports of a fire.

On arrival officers found the home to be well alight; Fire and Rescue NSW officers worked quickly to extinguish the blaze that has caused significant structural damage to the home.

Four neighbouring properties were evacuated as a precaution. There were no reports of injuries.

Fire and Rescue officers will go through the home when it's deemed safe this morning, but at this stage police believe the residents were away.

Investigations continue.
