Police investigate Kialla armed robbery

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Kialla last week.

Police have been told an 18-year-old man was running along the track around the Kialla Lake near Tandou Court about 8.30pm on Thursday 5 August.

It is believed an unknown man came out from the bushes and grabbed the victim before making demands for his wallet.

The victim fell to the ground and a physical altercation occurred before the victim received a stab wound to the lower leg.

The offender then fled the scene empty-handed and was last seen running south towards Tandou Court.

He is described as having a dark complexion, dark hair with facial stubble, 184cm tall with a solid build and was wearing track suit pants and a hooded jumper.

The Kialla man ran from the scene and raised the alarm where he was taken to hospital.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have been in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
