Police are investigating following a report that two 10-year-old boys were approached by an unknown man in a Holden utility in Malvern East last week.
Police have been told the man pulled up and spoke to one of the boys on Forster Road about 3.35pm on Thursday 5 September before driving away.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Police are reviewing CCTV and dash cam footage in an attempt to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Holden utility is green with a grey bonnet, left quarter panel and front passenger door.
Investigators urge the unknown man involved to come forward and contact police.
