Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary and theft in Melbourne West last week.
It is understood an unknown male offender gained access to an underground carpark on Spencer Street between 3.30 and 3.45am on Thursday 20 November.
Officers believe that once inside the carpark, the male stole a mobility scooter worth more than $11,000.
The scooter is described as an "Easy Rider" with large handlebars, a headlight and a green storage bag on the back.
Investigators have released CCTV of a man they believe might be able to assist with their enquiries.
Detectives continue to explore different avenues of enquiry, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
