Launceston CIB is investigating a series of home burglaries that have occurred in the Newstead area in recent weeks, Tasmania Police say.
Offenders have targeted homes during the day, whilst the owners are away from their residence. Money, cigarettes and a laptop computer have been stolen during this series.
Affected streets include Olive Street, David Street and Wentworth Street.
Police encourage the public to properly secure their homes and to remain vigilant when coming and going from their residence.
Police would like to hear from any members of the public who have observed any suspicious activity in these areas in recent weeks.
