Police investigate robbery and pursuit in northern suburbs, SA

Police are investigating a robbery where a man was assaulted and had his car stolen at Salisbury last night, according to SA Police.

A man was travelling west along Waterloo Corner Road at Salisbury just before 9.30pm (1 November) when he came across a white Nissan sedan stopped in the middle of the road.

Two passengers got out of the Nissan, opened the victim’s car door and assaulted him. The two men then pulled the victim from his car, a green Toyota Corolla, and drove off.

About 3am Gawler patrols spotted the stolen green Toyota with two men, pull into a group of shops on the corner of Murray Street and Todd Street. The car took off when a patrol arrived and was pursued through Gawler for several minutes before being lost.

The stolen green Toyota was later found abandoned in a shopping centre carpark on Murray Street. The two men were described as one wearing a red hooded top with dark complexion and the other being of Caucasian appearance wearing a grey hooded top and light grey pants.

Within a few minutes, a silver 1988 Holden VN sedan with SA registration UPR036 was reported stolen from Wright Street at Gawler.

Police are investigating links between the incidents.
