Police Investigate Robbery At Glenelg South

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Glenelg South last night which left a man with injuries.

Just before 10.45pm on Tuesday 5 May, police and SA Ambulance Service were called to Penzance Street after reports a man had been stabbed.

A 42-year-old man was located with non-life threatening injuries to his neck, face and hand. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police believe he was involved in an altercation with a person where money was demanded, resulting in the injuries to both people.

After an investigation, a 19-year-old Plympton man was located at a hospital and arrested and charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

He is expected to be refused police bail and will attend court after treatment of minor injuries.
