Police investigate series of criminal damage in Bayswater

Four teens were arrested following a series of alleged criminal damage in Bayswater last night.

The teens were arrested after the window of a vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a property of Orange Grove was smashed about 9.15pm.

The owner of the property confronted the group before one of the teens allegedly threatened the 52-year-old man with a machete.

The man retreated inside his home and called Triple Zero (000) and all four boys fled on foot.

Police, along with the assistance of the Canine Unit arrested the boys in the vicinity of Sasses Avenue a short time later.

It is believed at least five vehicles were allegedly damaged by the group as they walked along Bona Vista Road and Terama Crescent between 9.15 and 9.30pm.

All four teens, including a 16-year-old from Boronia, two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old all from Bayswater, are expected to be charged with criminal damage and weapons offences.
