Police investigate series of home invasions

Mill Park Serious Crime Task Force detectives are investigating two home invasions committed earlier this week, Victoria Police say.

It is believed three men, armed with a hand gun and other weapons, forced entry into a home in Mount View Road, Thomastown about 12.40am on 5 September.

The males assaulted one of the residents, stealing cash and personal property before fleeing.

Detectives believe the same men forced entry into a home in Cerise Avenue, Epping about 10.30pm that night, ransacking several rooms before fleeing.

A late model white Holden Commodore station wagon was observed at both of the incidents.

Investigators have released images of the vehicle, which was not displaying number plates at the time of offences.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
