Police investigate service station armed robbery - Tempe

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a service station in Tempe overnight.

About 1.30am (Sunday 5 May 2019), a man armed with a knife entered the service station on the Princes Highway and threatened the console operator while demanding cash and cigarettes.

The employee handed over a sum of cash and cigarettes and the man ran from the store.

A crime scene has been established while detectives from Inner West Police Area Command conduct a full investigation.
