Police Investigate Shopping Centre Thefts

Police are appealing for public assistance following thefts at a shopping centre in Malvern East in November and December.

Investigators have been told on 25 November, around 3am, a man has gained entry to the Dandenong Road shopping centre.

He was dressed in high vis in an effort to appear like a staff member.

The offender made his way to a clothing store where he stole approximately $16,000 worth of dresses and a few other items.

On 19 December the same man again gained access to the shopping centre again wearing hi vis and stole jewellery from a kiosk.

Police have released images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
