Police investigate stabbing at Blacktown

A man has suffered a punctured lung after being stabbed at a shopping centre in Blacktown last night.

About 8.20pm (Wednesday 30 October 2019), an 18-year-old man was on level 4 of a shopping complex on Patrick Street when he was approached by four men.

An altercation ensued between the group resulting in the 18-year-old being stabbed in the back.

The four men ran from the area before the arrival of police and NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Detectives from Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene at the shopping complex as inquiries into the incident continue.
