Police inquiries are continuing following an alleged stabbing near Wollongong earlier today.
Shortly after 6am today (Friday 6 September 2019), officers attached to Wollongong Police District responded to reports of a stabbing on Alexander Avenue, Fairy Meadow.
A 35-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were taken to Wollongong Police Station and are currently assisting police with inquiries.
The victim fled the scene and was later located at Wollongong Hospital. The man, believed to be in his 30s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is in a stable condition.
