Police investigate Sunshine North death

Detectives from the Homicide Squad are investigating following the death of a man in Sunshine North last night.

Emergency services were called to a property on Essex Street to reports of an injured man about 8.35pm.

Paramedics provided medical treatment, however the 24-year-old Sunshine North man died at the scene.

While the exact circumstances are still to be established, at this stage police believe this was a targeted incident.

Police do not believe there is any further immediate threat to the community.

They are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the property last night, as well as anyone in the area who may have CCTV or dash cam footage.
