Police investigate suspicious car fires overnight, SA

Police are investigating three car fires in the northern suburbs overnight, according to SA Police.

Just after 2.30am (Saturday 4 February) police and fire crews were called to Dundee Avenue at Holden Hill after reports a vehicle was on fire in the street.

A grey Holden sedan was engulfed in flames when crews arrived and was completely destroyed by the blaze.

In a similar incident, just before 3am, police and fire crews were called to Black Top Road at Gould Creek after reports a vehicle had been set alight. A beige Audi was also destroyed by the fire.

The third vehicle fire was on the Gawler to One Tree Hill Road at Bibaringa. When police and fire crews arrived just before 4am they found a white Toyota Tarago station wagon engulfed in flames.

The Tarago has been stolen from a Craigmore address earlier in the evening.

Police are treating the fires as suspicious and crime scene officers will be attending this morning to examine the vehicles.
