Burnie CIB is investigating a suspicious house fire in Wynyard, which occurred late last night, Tasmania Police say.
Approximately 10.15pm on Monday 21st November 2016, Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a report of a house fire in Bowick Court Wynyard.
Upon arrival, the residence was engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished by fire crews a short time later.
The occupants of the residence were not home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
There is significant damage to the house and the approximate value of the damage is $150,000.
Fire scene examiner, Forensic Services and CIB officers also attended the scene.
Police would like to hear from members of the public who may have relevant information as to who was responsible for lighting the fire.
