Police investigate suspicious item found at Campbelltown, South Australia

Police are investigating an incident in Campbelltown, after reports a suspicious device was found.

Just before 9am today (Thursday 21 February), police and emergency services were called to Church Road, Campbelltown after a member of the public located a device near the O-Bahn Busway.

Eastern District police attended and searched the area locating a number of homemade devices on the western side of the O-Bahn Busway.

Officers from SAPOL's Bomb Response Unit were called to the scene to examine the devices, and found that they were homemade incendiary devices. The devices were not explosives.

There was no immediate threat to the public, and investigations are ongoing.
