Police investigate Tanybryn fatality

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in Tanybryn this afternoon.

Investigators believe a truck was travelling along Forrest-Apollo Bay Road about 1.45pm when the driver lost control of the vehicle which then left the road and crashed into a tree.

A passenger in the truck, believed to be a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, believed to be a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
