Police investigate theft of alcohol from Ballan supermarket

Police are investigating several thefts of alcohol from a supermarket in Ballan over the past month, Victoria Police say.

The thefts occurred at the Inglis Street supermarket on 27 and 29 July with the last incident taking place on Wednesday 16 August.

Police have been told a man entered the store on two occasions and selected several bottles of premium red wine, which he put down the front of his trousers, before leaving the store.

On the third occasion, finding the wines behind lock and key, the man stole a bottle of vodka and a bottle of bourbon before leaving.

Police have released images of the man in the hope someone may recognise him.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
