Police investigate theft of credit card in Black Rock

Bayside police are investigating following the theft of a credit card and the subsequent use of the card at various businesses throughout the southern suburbs.

The card and a wallet were stolen from the victim, a 61-year-old Beaumaris woman, when she visited a Black Rock address on 6 March.

The credit card was used later that night at three locations and a further ten transactions were conducted the next day until the card was declined due to it being cancelled.

At the time of one transaction, at a bottle shop in Hampton, two women were observed using the card to purchase a carton of beer and two tobacco pipes.

Investigators have released images of two women who they hope will be able to assist with their enquiries.
