Police investigate thefts in Doncaster and Melbourne

Police are investigating the theft of designer clothes from a Doncaster Road shopping centre in Doncaster last month.

Investigators believe an unknown male offender entered a clothing store about 4pm on 11 February.

He placed clothing into a bag while a staff member was assisting customers, before fleeing on foot.

It is believed the man may be linked to multiple other thefts over the past year, from the same Doncaster store and from a Lonsdale Street, Melbourne shopping centre.

The man is believed to be aged in his 20s, perceived to be Asian in appearance and approximately 182cm with a slim build, short dark hair and glasses.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
