Police investigate West Melbourne Armed robbery

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in West Melbourne last month where a sawn off shotgun was produced, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told two men were standing on William Street organising a lift home when a vehicle pulled up about 5am on 19th February.

Two males got out of the car and approached the victims on the footpath with one of the males pointing the firearm at them.

The second male demanded the victims place all their possessions on the ground which they complied with.

The males then collected the phones and wallets from the ground and got back into the car and drove off.

The victims were not injured and called police.

The vehicle is described as a white or silver Holden sedan and investigators have released CCTV footage of the males and the car in the hope someone may have information.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
