Police investigate Williamstown robbery 7 April

Detectives from Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit are investigating following a robbery in Williamstown in January.

Investigators have been told the victim, a 27-year-old Footscray man, was delivering pizzas to a property on Nelson Place about 7.40pm on 10 January.

The man got into a lift and was followed by three other males, all perceived to be African in appearance.

One of the males, who at the time was wearing a black and white baseball cap, demanded the man hand over the pizza.

The victim complied before the offender then made demands for the victim to hand over cash from his bag.

The victim was in fear as he believed the offender was carrying a knife and subsequently opened his bag.

The man reached into the bag and stole approximately $200 cash before the trio exited the lift.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
