Westgate Highway Patrol members are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Wyndham Vale last night, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told a car, believed to be a blue Ford sedan, braked suddenly on Ballan Road about 6pm causing another car and motorcycle behind to also brake suddenly.
The motorcycle rider and pillion passenger collided with the back of a red Ford focus and were thrown from the motorcycle.
The two occupants of the blue Ford got out of their car for a short time however then quickly fled from the scene.
The two riders received serious injuries and were transported to hospital.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
