Police investigating after explosion - Bateau Bay

Police are appealing for information from the public as they investigate reports of a small explosion on the Central Coast last week.

The incident occurred about 3pm (Sunday 25 April 2021), under an underpass between a shopping centre and a skate park.

A number of people were nearby at the time of the explosion: however, no one was injured and no property appears to have been damaged.

There have been reports of a similar incident occurring in the area about 4.15pm Wednesday 28 April 2021.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone that may have been in the area or witnessed the incidents to contact Tuggerah Lakes Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
