Police Investigating After Fatal Crash At Maitland

An investigation is underway after a man died following a crash near Maitland this afternoon.

About 12.20pm (Thursday 19 March 2026), emergency services were called to Flat Road, Largs, following reports of a crash.

At the scene, police were told a man had been hit by a vehicle.

NSW Ambulance paramedics commenced CPR; however, the man was unable to be revived. He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver – a 32-year-old woman – was uninjured but taken to Maitland Hospital for mandatory testing.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway by Port Stephens-Hunter Police District.

Flat Road at Largs is closed in both directions and will be closed for some time.
