Police investigating after home invasion - Canley Heights

Police are investigating following a home invasion in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Just before 1am today (Friday 28 January 2022), emergency services were called to a unit on Harden Street, Canley Heights, following reports of a home invasion.

Police were told five people – one armed with a weapon – gained access to the unit and threatened the occupants.

The group caused extensive damage to the unit before fleeing the scene.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The occupants were not physically injured.

Inquiries are continuing.
