Police investigating after man dies after Cobar crash

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's Central West last week.

About 10.15pm last Tuesday (26 October 2021), emergency services were called to the intersection of Morrison and Marshall Streets, Cobar, following reports a motorcycle and Toyota Prado had collided.

The rider – a 32-year-old man – suffered critical injuries and was taken to Cobar Hospital before being airlifted to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he later died on Friday (29 October 2021).

The Toyota driver – a 40-year-old woman – was taken to Cobar Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Central North Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
