Police Investigating After Public Place Shooting, Fire - Green Valley

Police are investigating a public place shooting and fire in Sydney's west overnight.

Shortly after 1am today (Thursday 16 October 2025), emergency services received reports of loud bangs, believed to be gun shots, and a car on fire, on North Liverpool Road, Green Valley.

The occupant extinguished the fire a short time later.

About 7am, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, where a number of bullet casings were found on the roadway.

Police believe a number of shots were fired into the air. There were no reports of injuries or property damage.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police are making inquiries if the shooting is linked to a previous public place shooting in Cabramatta earlier in the night.
