An investigation is underway after a stabbing on the states Mid North Coast.
About 1.25am (Friday 2 January 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a service station on Gordon Street, Port Macquarie.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics who treated a 30-year-old man with a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
Localised traffic diversions and closures are in place with eastbound lanes on Gordon Street closed between Lake Road and Grant Street, and on Munster Street between Church Street and Gordon Street.
