An investigation is underway after a woman was threatened by a man armed with a gun in Lidcombe this morning.
Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were called to Uhrig Road about 7.20am (Tuesday 17 March 2026), after a man – reportedly armed with a handgun – threatened a woman in a multi-level carpark.
The man – who was not known to the woman – then left the scene in a white Subaru SUV.
A perimeter was established and specialist officers were called to assist; an extensive search of the area was conducted and no shots have been confirmed as being fired.
The woman was shaken but not physically injured.
Inquiries have revealed the SUV was fitted with cloned number plates.
