Police investigating firearms incident at Kings Meadows

Police are asking for assistance with an incident that occurred in Pinkard Street, Kings Meadows, yesterday.

At 9.45pm on Sunday, 27 November 2022, a firearm has been discharged towards a house in the street, causing a window to smash.

At this early stage of the investigation, it appears that the house was deliberately targeted and that the parties involved will be known to each other.

No one was injured during the incident.

The carrying and using firearms in this manner is of grave concern to police.

Tasmania Police is asking for public assistance in this matter and are determined to remove all illegal firearms for those who have and use them for unlawful purpose.

Further, if anyone has any information involving illegal firearms, they are urged to come forward and provide the information to police.
