Police investigating hit and run, Bentley Park

Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run in Bentley Park yesterday.

A pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle on Golden Grove Drive, near the intersection of Linmen Close, at about 7.30pm on Saturday October 23.

The driver of the vehicle has fled the scene leaving the pedestrian seriously injured.

The pedestrian was transported to the Cairns Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle involved maybe a blue coloured 4WD with a bull bar, with possible damage to a front metal rod holder and missing a cover for a rectangular spot light.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage or has sighted a vehicle of this description to contact police.
