Police in Launceston are investigating an armed robbery in Launceston yesterday evening, and are appealing to the public for information.
A business on Hobart Road, Youngtown was robbed about 7:55pm by a man reportedly in possession of a pistol.
The man was wearing a dark motorcycle helmet and stole a small amount of cash.
He was last seen running along Highgate Street, Youngtown. No one was physically injured during the incident.
Anyone who observed a man in the area of Hobart Road and Highgate Street at around 8pm yesterday, wearing a motorcycle helmet or riding a motorcycle at speed, is urged to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at crimestopperstas.com.au.
