Police investigating Ravenswood burglary

Tasmania Police is investigating a reported burglary at a Ravenswood supermarket early this morning.

Shortly before 5am a white Nissan Navara was driven through the front doors of IGA Everyday Ravenswood, causing significant damage.

Police believe the vehicle had been stolen from a residence in South Launceston half an hour earlier.

Two men were reportedly seen taking a number of cigarettes before running from the scene.

One was wearing a charcoal hooded top and three-quarter length black shorts and the other man was carrying a white bag.

Police would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the Nissan Navara driving in the Launceston area between 4.40am and 5.00am, or who may have witnessed the burglary or the suspects running from the scene in Ravenswood.
