Police Investigating Robbery At Katherine

The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating a robbery that occurred in Katherine this morning.

Around 3:50am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports a service station on Bicentennial Road was robbed by a group of up to 10 young males and females.

It is alleged that the group was armed with items that included an edged weapon.

The offenders are alleged to have stolen cash from the till, cigarettes and other items before placing them into bags and fleeing the scene.

The incident was captured by CCTV cameras and police are currently reviewing the footage.

An edged weapon has been seized, and a crime scene was established.
