Police are investigating a serious ATV crash on a farming property in Burnie about 10:30am today.
Initial investigations indicate the ATV was travelling down a hill when the rider lost control, causing him and his pillion passenger to be thrown from the vehicle.
The man was airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a serious condition.
His passenger was taken to the Northwest Regional Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
