Queensland Police are investigating after a woman was reportedly injured in Dakabin last night, Monday February 19.
Initial investigations indicate just after 8pm, the 24-year-old Raceview woman was getting into a vehicle when a man approached and fired a weapon at her.
The man then fled the area in an unknown vehicle.
The woman was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound to her upper leg. The injury is considered non-life threatening.
Investigations into a possible relationship between the parties are being conducted.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident or may have vision to contact police.
