Police Investigating Wounding At Manunda 14 July

Police have charged a 15-year-old Kanimbla boy following an incident at a Manunda education facility today, 13 July.

It will be alleged around 11.40am, two 15-year-old boys engaged in a physical altercation, when a 15-year-old boy sustained wounds to the abdomen.

He was transported to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition.

The 15-year-old Kanimbla boy fled on foot and was arrested in Kanimbla around 12.10pm.

Police believe the boys are known to each other.

The 15-year-old Kanimbla boy was charged with one count of acts intended to cause GBH.

He was refused bail as it due to appear in the Cairns Childrens Court today, 14 July.
